When you see a cute kid on the street playing with their little scooter, you can’t help but smile at them and imagine that they’d grow up to be successful people with a college degree and a regular job. But sometimes, things don’t turn out the way we imagine, and some of these kids grow up to become true monsters that performed acts which have been remembered as some of the most horrible incidents in history. 1. Joseph Stalin
During his teenage years, Joseph Stalin looked like he was an ambitious, bright kid who had a great future ahead of him. Little did anyone know that he would grow up to become one of the world’s most powerful and feared leaders who were responsible for cruel acts like famine, assassination, forced resettlement, and deaths of at least 20 million people in the Soviet Union.
2. Osama Bin Laden
As a boy, Osama bin Laden appeared to be a serious child who grew up in a large wealthy family and lived a comfortable and privileged life, but he grew up to become one of the worst terrorists to plague the world with his beliefs and acts. He was responsible for the horrific 9/11 attacks and was known as the leader of the al-Qaeda.
3. Kim Jon Il
This adorable boy in his military uniform looks like he was born to be a leader. Unfortunately, he grew up to become a savage dictator who was the cause of mass starvation and deaths of hundreds of thousands. He was also accused of wrongful imprisonment of political prisoners and many other human rights offences.
4. Benito Mussolini
Benito Mussolini was a dapper young boy who looked like he had an interesting life ahead of him. But he grew up to become the leader of Italy and set out to make history by being one of the world’s very first fascists. He was responsible for ordering several massacres and using mustard gas. He was later killed by his own people.
5. Saddam Hussein
This handsome young boy looks like he’ll erect a lemonade stand in the neighborhood and smile widely at you as you pass by. But he grew up to become the leader of Iraq and one of the most hated people. His savagery led to the deaths of countless of his own people and he was accused of several crimes against humanity.
