When you compare the amount of homeless animals to the amount of homeless people, the ratio would be 5 to 1. That is why it is no longer a surprise that we would bump into a stray dog or cat in the alleys of major cities or in the streets of small towns. This is one reality that most people would just accept but for a certain group in Canada– the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals, they know they can make a difference. These people find ways to help stray dogs and cats living in the street.
This group has found the dog that you can see below in the streets. With one look, you would not recognize that this is a dog, let alone a living creature. His fur is matted and dirty that you may mistake it for a trash or a wood in the streets.
If you would imagine this as a dog, you would think this is actually a very big dog. As it turns out, the major portion of his size was due to its matted, dirty fur.
After discovering this, the rescuers decided to shave the fur right away.
What they found underneath is a loving boy that is eager to get out of his monster fur.
The buzzer scared the wits out of him.
The cutting, primping and fussing is an entirely new world for him.
But the long process of cleaning, shaving and shampooing were fruitful.
After everything, what once used to look like trash has become a cute and playful animal.
Super happy to finally have gotten out of its dirty fur and to stay indoors together with people who care and love him.
It is true that one small step cannot save stray animals all at one but one small step can to save a homeless animal can become a big contribution.
