We are so lucky to be living in this day and age. Gone are the days when we have to travel by foot or via an animal ride. We can now travel comfortably and even luxuriously. But there are some people with wild imaginations who pushed the limits when it came to designing cars. It’s pretty amazing what these imaginative people came up with. We wonder if you would dare ride these things but just for the fun of it, let’s take a look at some of the craziest cars ever built.
If Miranda Priestly was to have a crazy ride this would probably be it. This ride definitely screams The Devil Wears Prada and is fit for a diva. But we doubt it’s something comfortable and hair friendly if you know what I mean. But it’s definitely eye-catching and fun to look at. For those girls who love wearing killer stilettos, it’s heels minus the pain.
11. Spider Car
This black spider car looks like the perfect ride for spiderman. But this car doesn’t actually run. Duh! This was just the product of a bored person with too much time with an old unused car lying around.
A blacksmith and fire artist created this masterpiece. This amazing art car has flame-emitting feelers on the front and is dubbed as The Golden Mean. It also glows in the dark and can comfortably seat six people. It took six years to complete this mean machine but after it was done, everything was well worth it. It’s definitely one-of-a-kind. We just hope it runs faster than an actual snail.
9. Lego Car
This life-size Lego car is every lego lovers dream. Legos are such versatile toys that you could practically build anything out of it. The engine is made from standard Lego pieces and runs on air! It’s made up of more than 500,000 Lego pieces with a top speed of around 20-30km. We wouldn’t want the precious thing to fall to pieces.
8. Topsy Turvy Bus
This crazy bus looks like something out of a movie. It may feel like you’re having a bad headache just looking at this bus but this is for real. This is a functioning bus and is used on a cross-country tour. It’s a traveling educational vehicle so the school bus appearance perfectly fits the theme. Watch out, you might see it near you.
7. Pea Car
This cute-looking pea car looks like a child’s toy. It could actually fit one adult but we doubt it’s comfortable. This wacky little vehicle started out as a VW Microbus but was modeled into a larger-than-life sweet pea by the guys at Asylum SFX studio for this amusing Birds Eye vegetable commercial from a few years back.
6. Stretchy Mobile
This leveraged (pun intended) car is perfect for those looking to have a height advantage. If you want to have a better view of the traffic or the horizon then you can just raise your car a bit. If you’re feeling lacking in the height department then this car will definitely boost you.
5. Diabolical Car
This ghoulish car look like it came straight out of hell. The man who owns this car claims to be in close contact with otherworldly spirits. Now we know why. The concept is based on demonic designs in which the owner himself thought up in a dream. How creepy could that be? We just hope you don’t see this car in the middle of the night.
4. Banana Car
This Big Banana Car is a fully street legal motorized banana. The car is based on a 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck and is still a 4X4. You can guarantee that this vehicle will turn heads and grab attention when it hits the road. The machine was built back in 2007 and has gained a thousand hits online since then. The Banana Car can reach high speeds too.
3. Airplane Car
This hybrid vehicle looks like a cross between a car and an airplane. The wings when not in use can be folded to the sides. This flying car costs a whopping $279,000 for all the flying car aficionados out there. This flying car actually works but would you be brave enough to ride it?
2. Rodent Car
This furry car looks so fuzzy you just want to pet it. We’re just not sure if it’s a mouse, hamster, or something else. This car was previously a massive truck converted to something more eye-catching. Even the interior of this car is furry and fuzzy.
Are you a mother nature freak? Then this grass car is for you! While the grass may look real, it’s actually just artificial grass. It’s just astroturf, a form of artificial grass most commonly used on many football and soccer pitches. But it looks like the real deal.
After seeing these crazy cars you though you’ve seen it all but there are still a lot of weird stuff to see. The wild imagination of the creators of these cars definitely pushed the boundaries. It was fun to see these cars but it also made us question their sanity for making these vehicles. The world would be boring if it wasn’t for these imaginative and crazy people.
